Well I wish I could be two inches taller
In relation to my friends I seem to be getting smaller
I've tried eating everything, even my greens
But I've got the blues, nothing’s working it seems
My Dad drew a line for me right by the door
But I've been the same height since March ‘94
No matter how hard I stretch
I just can’t grow any more
I know that growing happens in stages
But this spurt seems to be taking me ages
Yes I’d like it when I kiss that girl
Not to have to stand on the Yellow Pages
Mum said not to worry ‘cause it’s only my genes
But I can’t see what my trousers have to do with anything
I'm always on the front row of the photos at school
And I just don’t know what to do
I know that growing doesn't come in one go
But it seems to be taking me forever to grow
Two extra inches, that’s all I ask
Won’t have to stand on my tip toes
People keep reassuring me that size isn't key
But I'm so sad ‘cause they’re all bigger than me
Don’t wanna be pushed around any more
The bullies better run for the door
